Browsing data in your browser
Saturn tracks the active website's domain, time spent, visits, repeated returns, blocked attempts, snoozes, and the limits, schedules, and preferences you choose. It uses this information to enforce blocks and create your summaries and usage charts.
These browsing records and settings are stored in your Chrome profile. They are not uploaded as a browsing history or synced through a Saturn account. The extension does not read the contents of the websites you visit, passwords, or form entries.
Whop sign-in and Pro purchases
If you choose Sign in / Restore purchase, Whop asks you to approve access to basic profile information. Saturn uses your Whop account ID to check whether that account has access to the Saturn product. Browsing records are not sent to Whop for this check.
Saturn's backend, hosted by Cloudflare, processes the sign-in response and stores your Whop account ID, extension ID, purchase-access status, and temporary session records. The extension stores a Saturn session credential so it can recheck access without asking you to sign in each time. Whop access and refresh tokens are not retained by Saturn.
Whop handles checkout, payment details, purchase records, and billing management. Whop sends signed purchase-status notifications to Saturn so access can reflect membership, payment, refund, or dispute changes. Saturn does not receive your Whop password or full payment-card details.
Extension analytics
The Chrome Web Store version sends product-usage events through Cloudflare to PostHog. These include opening the popup, creating a limit or schedule, seeing a block, using a summary, onboarding steps, and upgrade-button clicks. Events can include the extension version, general counts, and whether features have been set up.
A randomly generated installation identifier lets us understand repeat use and reliability. It is separate from your Whop account and is not linked to it by Saturn. Analytics events exclude the domains you visit, full browsing URLs, browsing-history records, page contents, and your Whop credentials.
These events help us find problems and understand which features are useful. Unpacked development copies do not send extension analytics. The extension does not record your screen or create session replays of your browsing.
Website analytics and storage
The Saturn website uses PostHog to understand page visits, clicks, referrals, browser and device information, and technical errors. When enabled, website session replay can record interactions with Saturn's own pages, such as clicks and scrolling. It does not record other websites or the extension's pages.
Website analytics can use cookies or local storage to remember a browser or session. You can turn off PostHog website analytics in this browser, or turn it back on. Clearing browser storage also clears this preference. This choice applies to website PostHog analytics, separately from extension analytics.
Vercel hosts the website and provides Speed Insights to measure page performance. Hosting and security providers receive ordinary connection information, including IP addresses, browser information, request paths, and timestamps, when you connect to the website or purchase-verification service.
Services that process data
- Whop processes sign-in, checkout, purchases, and billing.
- Cloudflare hosts purchase verification, temporary billing records, analytics forwarding, and service logs.
- PostHog processes the extension and website analytics described above.
- Vercel hosts the website and processes website-performance measurements.
- If you choose our Feedback link, SurveyMonkey processes the information you submit through that separate service. Do not include passwords or payment details.
These providers may process data outside your country under their own terms and privacy policies. Saturn does not sell your data or use your browsing records for advertising.
Retention and security
Local browsing records remain subject to the extension's history limits and your deletion choices. Unsent extension analytics are capped at 250 events and expire after 14 days.
Server-side sign-in attempts expire after ten minutes; checkout-return records after two hours; cached purchase checks after five minutes; and webhook retry records after seven days. Saturn sessions expire seven days after their last successful renewal. Expired temporary billing records are scheduled for deletion.
Provider-held analytics, payment records, and operational logs follow the applicable service's retention settings and obligations; clearing the extension does not automatically remove those records. Connections to Saturn's backend use HTTPS, server credentials remain on the backend, and session credentials are excluded from extension data exports.
Your choices and deletion
Settings lets you export your local data, delete usage history, delete local analytics data, or delete all local Saturn data. Delete All Data also removes the saved Saturn sign-in credential. It does not cancel a Whop purchase, delete your Whop account, or immediately delete server-side records.
Deleting local analytics data resets the installation identifier and queued events. It is not a permanent analytics opt-out: a new identifier can be created while the extension is enabled. Disabling or removing Saturn stops its activity tracking and future extension analytics.
Manage purchases through Whop. For questions or requests about data Saturn holds, use the Feedback form and identify your request as a privacy request. We may need enough information to verify the request. Please never send a sign-in token, password, or full card number.
Limited use and updates
Information received through Chrome APIs is used to provide and improve Saturn's disclosed features in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. It is not sold or used for personalized advertising.
We update this page when Saturn's data practices change. The date above identifies the current version; material changes will also be explained in the app or its release information.
